The Renault 12 Alpine represents a unique chapter in Argentine automotive history, launched exclusively for the South American market in 1978. This special sports variant of the popular Renault 12 was developed specifically to meet the demands of Argentine drivers who sought European sophistication combined with local market requirements. Featuring a more powerful 1.4-litre engine producing 81 horsepower and distinctive Alpine styling cues, the R12 Alpine became a symbol of accessible performance in Argentina. With its front-wheel-drive layout, four-speed manual transmission, and sporty appointments, this model bridged the gap between everyday practicality and spirited driving dynamics that made it beloved among South American enthusiasts.
