IXO Special Screwdriver – Add-On Only

Please note: This item is available only as an add-on when purchasing an in-stock model from us. Pre-order models do not qualify. Items ordered separately may be removed from the order and refunded.

Have you ever encountered model cars secured to their base by a triangular-headed screw? If you have, you’ll know just how frustrating it can be to remove. After you’ve hunted through all your tools, you settle on the nearest size flat-headed screwdriver that fits. And what happens is you chew up the screwdriver head before loosening the screw. On to plan B, try gripping it with pliers. Oh no, they slip off. Right, time to get drastic; get out a hacksaw blade and saw it off under the car; drat, now there are saw cuts on the plinth. Oh well, may as well break the plinth off and hope not to break the model simultaneously. Done, but hang on, the screws are still in the model’s underside, argh!

Relax, there is an alternative, and it’s a cheap one. Simply buy one of these little IXO Special Screwdrivers and remove those pesky screws with ease. No more damaged screws, no more damaged models, no more damaged tools and no more frustrated swearing!
