This is Tamiya 89733 Yukikaze with Sub Motor. Originally released in the late-1960s, these two assembly kits will take you back in time to the early days of Tamiya’s model-producing history. While they may not be on the same level as today’s products, the fit and detail were unrivalled at the time, and these ship models are perfect examples of Tamiya’s long tradition of high-quality products. These kits also come with a submarine motor, so fans can enjoy seeing them in action in their element.
About the models
1/300 scale assembly kit models of the WWII Japanese navy destroyers Yukikaze and Yugumo. Respectable details such as tripod masts, main gun turrets, anti-aircraft gun mounts, and torpedo launchers belie the molds nearly 40 year old age. Included dark gray submarine motor can be installed to propel the model through the water.
