  • HISTORY ASPECTS:
  • The Eastern Air Lines Lockheed L-188 Electra, affectionately known as the “Hockey Stick” due to its distinctive upward-curved propeller blades, holds a special place in aviation history. Introduced in the late 1950s, the Electra was a groundbreaking turboprop aircraft that brought unprecedented speed and comfort to air travel. Eastern Air Lines, one of the prominent carriers of its time, operated a fleet of these elegant aircraft, including the aircraft with registration N5517, which became synonymous with the “Hockey Stick” livery.
  • Throughout its service with Eastern Air Lines, N5517 and its fellow Electras transported passengers to various destinations, offering a unique and enjoyable flying experience. However, the aircraft’s history took a somber turn when Eastern Air Lines ceased operations in 1991. Despite the airline’s closure, the legacy of the “Hockey Stick” lives on as a symbol of a bygone era in aviation, cherished by enthusiasts and collectors alike.
  • Now, you can own a piece of this aviation history with a meticulously crafted 1:400 scale model. Whether you’re a collector or simply appreciate the elegance of vintage aircraft, this model is a must-have addition to your collection, allowing you to relive the glory days of Eastern Air Lines and the “Hockey Stick” Electra.
